Vinyl is a multi-layered form of flooring, with a protective top layer usually made of urethane, a protective clear vinyl layer, followed by the printed vinyl design layer and then finally the backing. Vinyl sheet's popularity stems largely from its adaptability for use in any part of the home, from high traffic areas such as hallways and family rooms to wet areas such as kitchens and bathrooms. It is also a popular choice for laundries and basements.

Linoleum Flooring :

It looks like vinyl flooring, but it isn't. In fact, if environmentally friendly flooring is an interest of yours, you might like linoleum. As the name implies, linoleum is made of linseed oil--along with wood flour, tree resins, cork dust, a touch of ground limestone, and pigments for color. Okay, so we should say environmentally friendlier. It's pressed onto a jute base. The name is a concoction of the "lin" from linseed and "oleum" from oil. Linoleum wears incredibly well. It's also a little bit softer to walk on than ceramic tile, but about the same as vinyl tiling. Linoleum Floors offer more vibrant colors.

Vinyl flooring can be purchased to look like hardwoods, stone, ceramic tile, metal flooring, bamboo, marble, and even inlayed hardwood medallions and borders.

Vinyl Composition Tile Flooring :

It is identical in construction except that it often comes with a ready peel-and-stick adhesive backing which is ideal for DIY installations. In addition, the module tile format gives you even more flexibility in design options, allowing you to use different colors in a combination of different tiles to create checkerboard looks and other visual effects. It offers all the same benefits of durability and versatility, stain-resistance and water-proofing, as well as the multitude of colors and designs and simulations of other flooring materials.

Thus laminate floor care is not a hassle. And even the floor repair is not an issue since it is so easy to install and can be cleaned with usual floor cleaners.

Vitrified Flooring :

Vitrified tiles are some of the most durable materials produced in the Industry. They are of the "non-porous" variety ie: Porcelain which can withstand pretty much anything that is thrown against it. Vitrified tiles are suitable for indoor and outdoor use and they are especially suitable for areas of heavy footfall and light industrial areas. Fully vitrified tiles (also called Porcelain) are tiles with water absorption less than 0.5%. Fully vitrified tiles have the lowest porosity possible and therefore are especially suitable for areas where high stain resistance and hygiene is required or outdoor applications with increased frost resistance. Both Vitrified and fully vitrified tiles can be glazed or unglazed.

Ceramic Tile Flooring :

Ceramic tiles has so many types like glazed, unglazed, mosaic, glass, marble, stone, travertine, brick, laminated, granite, Victorian, porcelain, slate, vinyl, crackle, vitrified and mor. Maintaining and cleaning ceramic tile flooring is not a tedious task. The most basic cleaning aids like sweeping and mopping can be used to maintain the floor. This makes Ceramic tile is a popular choice for today’s homes. Ceramic is one of the most primitive building materials made by man, it is a product that sustains the heaviest of traffics with ease. Ceramic tiles are ideal choices for kitchens and bathrooms. Ceramic tiles are waterproof, making it the first choice.

In India, ceramic tiles available in the market are either polished or unpolished. They are also available in different sizes and shapes. Ceramic tiles are stain-resistant and are impervious to water if glazed. The tiles may look vibrant with the glaze but on the flip side, the glaze causes the tiles to be slippery. Places where this is a hindrance, slip-resistant ceramic tiles can be fitted.
